STUDY 1:        Kinnow Gardens Management Survey Of Sargodha District
Objectives:    
i.                    To investigate the Kinnow garden management practices of the farmers
ii.                  To investigate the reasons/factors effecting the quality and nutrition of the Kinnow Fruit.
iii.                To formulate the recommendation for field experiments of improvements for policy relevance.
STUDY 2: Impact of Cotton Breeding Research On The Punjab Economy
                               Objectives      
i.                    To study the existing production pattern of Cotton crop in the Punjab.
ii.                  To study the Cotton varieties existing in the farming system for the last 6 years.
iii.                To investigate the economic impact of the Cotton research on Punjab economy.
iv.                To formulate recommendation based upon the study finding for the development of the economy.
STUDY 3: Contractual maize production, a case study of Rafhan maize products
              Objectives
i.                    To see impact of contract agreement on maize productivity
ii.                  To determine benefit cost status separately for both contract and non-contract maize growers.
iii.                To comprehend the social relationships / division of labour in contract farming in order to dig out problems and find suggestions for the better implementation of contract farming programme.
STUDY 4: Economics of maize production in Punjab and “role of seed for enhancing the maize productivity”
             Objectives
i.                    To study the existing production of maize crop
ii.                  To study the role of Hybrid seed for high yield
iii.                To formulate the recommendation based upon the research findings for enhancing the maize productivity.

Study 1:          To work out the supply and demand gap analysis of wheat in Pakistan (Province wise)
Study 2:          The potential role of horticultural and vegetable breeding on povertyreduction in Punjab
Study 3:          Impact of cotton breeding research on the Punjab economy
c)      Potential Areas of Research
 
i.                    Identification of farmers needs through diagnostic surveys and rural appraisals for feedback to biological / agricultural scientists and policy makers
ii.                  Impact assessment of new technologies especially in the context limited water supplies, constraint analysis in the face of degrading resource base and their impacts on crop sector
iii.                Policy analysis (Marketing & Trade), research prioritization, capacity building and database for research activities
