Services Offered:
  • To create awareness about the importance of modern Agriculture to the farming community.
  • To familiarize the farmers with the recent developments in Plant Protection i.e. integrated control measures.
  • To acquaint farmers with judicious use of pesticides/fungicides.
  • To impart general and specialized training in the latest techniques of insect pests/disease control to the employees of Agriculture Department (Ext. Wing).
  • To develop suitable plant protection technologies/strategies to control insect pests/diseases for ensuring higher crop yields of good quality.
  • To facilitate isolation and identification of pests/disease problems of field crops, vegetables, stored grains and fruit plants in the Punjab.
