Improve research collaboration between different professional departments, commodity institutes, research organizations and other private and public sector agriculture research institutes within the country and abroad by involving these into common research programs.

Avoid duplication in research by bringing all research funding in the province under the umbrella of PARB.

Enhance the productivity and efficiency of the ARS in Punjab by focusing on high-priority research areas, providing proper M&E mechanism, and bringing synergies of various institutes in the private and public sectors.

Improve and strengthen capacities of agricultural research institutions of Punjab both in the public and private sector.

Benefit from research undertaken in other provinces, national level organizations, and adapt it to the requirements of Punjab.

Benefit from the research undertaken by international agricultural research centers and advanced laboratories in the world.

Arrange mass communication of research results for the benefit of common man.
