Coordination Division
The functions and responsibilities of the Coordination Division are described as follows:
  • To liaison between government of Punjab and PARB. 
  • Ensure across the Themes coordination.
  • Co-ordinate with research, extension, education and stakeholders for the smooth flow of outputs generated by the research system in the province.
  • Make arrangements for the GB, EC and other meetings including preparation of agenda, working papers and recording and circulation of minutes of the meetings.
  • Arrange training, seminars and workshops to highlight the achievements of PARB.
  • Coordinate in linking PARB projects with international centres and laboratories in the developed countries, and arrange for local as well as international consultants to work with the projects.
  • Arrange for the import of new technologies.
  • Arrange for local and international training to enhance the capacity of the scientists of Punjab agricultural research system.
  • Help devising strategies to seek funds from governments and donors for PARB.
  • As Theme Leader, evaluate the proposals submitted to PARB under respective theme for funding if it qualifies the CGS priorities for the purpose of short listing.   
  • Get the short listed project proposals evaluated/reviewed from TWGs, cleared from EC and approved from Board for funding. Also arrange signing of contract/agreement for release of funds/installments.
  • Process and finalize cases/applications for travel grant.
  • Process and finalize cases/applications for holding of workshops/seminars.
  • Process and finalize cases/applications for publication of technical/scientific books and papers as per approved criteria.
  • Process and finalize cases/applications for Scientists award as per approved criteria.
  • Suggest ways and means for improving the efficiency of the research system to be more responsive to stakeholders problems in the food and fibre system of Punjab.
  • Help preparing brochures and leaflets to highlight the outputs of high impact successful projects.
