NEW
VISTAS
Canola
type hybrids in traditional rape-seed and mustard. This approach
will uplift the national average from 980 kg/ha to 1300 kg/ha with
an increase of 32%.
The pace of sunflower hybrid development will be enhanced through
using modern techniques like RFLP, anther culture and recombinant
DNA. The yield level in sunflower will increase from 1303 kg/ha
to 2000 kg/ha showing an increase of 53%.
Efforts will be made to develop high yielding varieties and better
crop production technology for sesame crop to increase its yield
from 443 kg/ha to 800 kg/ha.
