b. Proposed Administration and Financial Powers.

3. Scrutinized the PC-Is/ Proposals related to Agriculture Sector Investment Project.

4. Done coordination with DGA (R), DGA (F), DGA (Ext.) and other Directorate and Department of Live-stock and Board of Revenue regarding different issues of ASIP.

5. Compiled & submitted 10 monitoring reports on Farmers Training Programme for Rice Crop in Sheikhupura District.

6. Compiled & submitted 17 monitoring reports on Farmers Training Programme for Cotton & Sugarcane Crops in Rajanpur District.

7. Compiled & submitted 5 monitoring reports on Farmers Training Programme for Wheat Crop in Sheikhupura District.

8. Prepared & submitted Feasibility report for Establishment of Agricultural College at Sahiwal.

9. Prepared & submitted Feasibility report regarding strengthening of In-service Training Institutes.

10. Compiled & submitted 2 monitoring reports on Farmers Training Programme for Wheat Crop in Ferozwala & Sheikhupura Tehsils.

11. Got extension of NDP-I OFWM component up to 30-06-2004, which was expired on 30-06-2002.

12. Vitalized OFWM-IV project. One of the condition of Donor’s regarding under taking of ISEA Study, is now under process and the donors are preparing project appraisal for lending.

13. Chief Minister’s package regarding construction of 5000 watercourses could not be achieved, if NDP-I and OFWM-IV were not brought in line. About 4150 watercourses will be constructed through NDP-I and OFWM-IV projects.

14. DERA programme which is under implementation through district Governments was also prepared/coordinated by Planning & Evaluation Cell at initial stage.

15. Prepared Agriculture Development Strategy Papers for Visiting Board of Directors of ADB to Pakistan.

16. Processed/scrutinized and forwarded project proposals to P&D Department after getting approval form Secretary Agriculture: -

- 11 proposals under ASEAN-Pakistan Joint Cooperation Committee.

- 6 proposals under Japanese Grant/Assistance.

- 12 proposals under Portfolio-Aid Worthy Projects.

17. Prepared presentation for Governor Punjab on Policy Matrix of Agriculture Sector Programme-II (ADB Loan).

18. A chapter relating to Agriculture on poverty reduction strategy paper was finalized and submitted to P&D Department.

19. Prepared comments on World Bank Country Assistance Strategy Report.

20. Arranged a meeting of Doctor Matain Behzad, Consultant of UNDP on Mass Awareness Programme for Water Resources Conservation with Additional Secretary(Planning).

21. Submitted a draft summary for Governor and comments on MOU from ADB, TA Fact-Finding Mission on Agriculture Diversification of Agriculture Business Development.

22. To co-ordinate the activities regarding ADB TA Fact-Finding Mission on Agriculture Diversification and Agriculture Business Development.

23. Processed and Scrutinized the Time Bound Work Plan for OFWM Component of CRBI Project Stage-III for extended period submitted to P&D Department.

24. Compiled the comments of Punjab Agriculture Department and submitted a summary for Chief Minister regarding Rationalization of Agriculture Research System in Pakistan.

25. Submitted a summary to Chief Minister Punjab through MFA to P&D Department regarding the viewpoint of Agriculture Department on the policy Matrix of ASP-II (ADB Loan).

26. Evaluation of wheat campaign phase-I, phase-II, & phase-III, of Gujrat District.

27. Conducted inspection of “Farmers Training Programme” for rice crop in the field area of Lahore district.

28. Technical Evaluation of “International Consultancy Firms” under OFWM-IV and processing of World Bank Assisted OFWM-IV project.

29. Collection of review of Literature for various assignments related to Agriculture Department.

30. Analysis and report writing of Soil Conservation of Study I & II.

31. Coordination of Board of Investment (Leasing of Government Agriculture Farms to Private Sector).

32. Completion of proposals for foreign/local investment.

33. All correspondance regarding Cotton, Rice, Sugarcane & Oilseed Crops is being made by this section since 2002.
